She is known for exploring the UFO phenomena as a new type of religion - or perhaps a reawakening of the same concepts found in the older religions. In her book American Cosmic, she even makes a trip with a skeptical friend of hers to an acclaimed UFO crash site and then off to the Vatican, where a religious experience converts her friend.
